Sue has been a stylist on Staten Island for 19 years. Her color and cutting experience is extensive. Sue’s communication skills are strong enabling her to deliver exactly the look her clients desire. She prides herself on customer service and accommodating her clientele on a highly personalized level. Sue is a master of hair artistry and it is emulated through her beautiful work.

Denise is a master colorist/stylist here at Bamboo Salon. She has trained in London, Paris, Milan, Rome, L.A, and New York under world renowned stylists. Denise has an acute awareness of fashion, trends and style which she translates to her clients through her inspirational work. She is a leader in the industry here on Staten Island commanding an expansive clientele throughout her 25 years in the business.

Nikki has been in the industry for 8 years. She was educated at The Aveda Institute of New York in SoHo. Nikki continues her education with advanced classes by well-known stylists. She specializes in creative coloring and haircutting. Nikki has a passion for fashion and making people beautiful. In her chair there is a charming, warm, and personable air. Blondes are highly recommended.

Emilio joined the Bamboo team three years ago and it was instant chemistry. After completing his education at The Aveda Institute of New York, he went on to work with well-respected stylists in Manhattan. Emilio is a versatile stylist who combines his vision and knowledge with unique individualized styles for his clients.

Joelle graduated The Learning Institute of Beauty Sciences. She continues her education with advanced classes. She is certified in Cinderella Hair and SoCap Hair extensions. Joelle also creates personalized hair extensions that can be reused for any special occasion. Joelle takes special care to maintain the beauty and integrity of each client’s hair. Her talent and dedication to her craft makes Joelle a rising star in her field.

Sabrina has trained from a young age with celebrity stylists John Barrett, Julien Farel, and Frederique Fekkai. She focuses her work on color, cutting, special occasion, brides, and bridal parties. Sabrina specializes in the French technique of Balayage, free-hand hair painting, to naturally enhance her haircuts.

Nicole has been with Bamboo Salon for three years. She studied at The Learning Institute of Beauty Sciences and continues her education with classes by L’Oreal, Sexy Hair, and Swarzkopf. Nicole has and excellent understanding of hair color and design coupled with her friendly personality, she is a sure hit here at Bamboo Salon.

Olga has been in the industry for six years. She is passionate about her craft, high-fashion, and the latest celebrity trends. Olga keeps apprised of the newest cuts and color techniques by continuing education on the East and West Coast. Olga loves to challenge herself by creating a custom style to compliment each individual client. She also has a keen eye for men’s hairstyling and the latest trends in men’s grooming.

Amanda has been with Bamboo salon since September of 2004 when her family opened the doors for the first time. She takes pride in the family business fully dedicating her energy and enthusiasm to growing the salon to its’ full potential. She is a recent graduate of The Academy of New York City a Paul Mitchell Partner School. There she trained under leaders in the beauty industry such as George Morales, Yosh Toya, Billy Yamaguchi, and Winn Claybaugh. She participated behind the scenes at Nolcha Fashion Week 2008 in New York doing hair for the runway models. Amanda specializes in occasion styling and bridal work. Her creative vision for upstyling makes her work highly sought after.

Gina has thirteen years in the beauty industry. She joined the Bamboo team in the fall of 2008 where she contributes her talents to training Bamboo’s future stylists in advanced cutting and coloring classes. Prior to working at Bamboo Salon Gina was an educator for the Carstens Aveda Institute. Thereafter she went on to work at the trendy meat packing district salon Red Market. Gina trained in the French technique of hair design under stylists Jacques Dessange and David Cotteblanche. She returned back to Staten Island in 2008 where she took the position as an educator at The Academy of NYC a Paul Mitchell Partner School. Gina has fresh ideas, a wealth of knowledge and experience which emits through her work. She is technically precise with a clear creative vision. In addition, Gina also has a keen eye for Men’s hairstyling.

Melissa is a graduate of The Aveda Institute of New York City. She has been in the industry for five years, she is highly skilled stylist and colorist. Melissa has worked with some of the industries best artists. Her work has been featured both on television and in magazines. Melissa has had the opportunity to work backstage for several seasons of New York City’s Fashion Week. She continues to incorporate all the latest trends into her work. Melissa is only available on Thursdays and Fridays so please be sure to call in advance for your appointment.

Louis has been in the industry for four years. Louis’ motto is “healthy hair comes first”! He does everything he can to work with his clients in producing an amazing style that reflects each person individually. Louis loves working outside the box when choosing color for his clients. His love of his craft shows through his fierce red heads. Louis continues his education with classes by Redken, J.Beverly Hills, L’Oreal, Sexy Hair, Wella, and Swartzkopf.

Bamboo Salon welcomes Janice to their team! Janice is a graduate of Wilford Academy and thereafter she stayed abreast of her trade with training classes in Haircutting, Coloring, and Styling. She boasts 20 years experience in the industry and a clear passion for her craft. The energy and creativity that she exudes contributes to the already booming team. Janice is a highly sought after stylist, therefore we do reccommend scheduling your appointments in advance.

Bamboo Salon is proud to have Audra Merola, Sara Ann Blanti, Lisa Miller, and Christina Duval as their makeup artists on call. Combined their experience totals well over 20 years in the beauty industry. Our makeup artists have worked and currently work on sets for CBS, NBC, film studios, movie sets, editorial, and fashion shows. Our makeup artists are available by appointment only for your special night out, sweet sixteen, prom, or wedding day.
