Caryann
Caryann is the owner of Bamboo Salon which she opened in September of 2003. With the help of her family, friends, and an exceptional team of Stylists, she has created one of the Top Hair Salons on Staten Island. The Salon is proud to be celebrating its' 20th year in business and has grown leaps and bounds since its inception and for this Caryann couldn't be more proud!
Salon Manager
Gina
Gina is the Salon Manager and has been a part of the Bamboo Salon team since 2010. She is a multi-tasker, starting with the front of house , taking care of the reservation desk, clients and their every need. On a day to day basis, she makes sure everything is smooth sailing and the guests are being well taken care of! Gina is also responsible for all of our Brides, making sure their day goes smoothly from start to finish. Gina takes pride in keeping the staff happy and organized. She says, “I have enjoyed working at Bamboo Salon since day one!”
Master Stylists
Sue
Sue has been a stylist on Staten Island for more than 20 years. Her color and cutting experience is extensive and she is a Ouidad Certified Stylist. Sue’s communication skills are strong enabling her to deliver exactly the look her clients desire. She prides herself on customer service and accommodating her clientele on a highly personalized level. Sue is a master of hair artistry and it is emulated through her beautiful work.
Amanda
Amanda has been with Bamboo salon since September of 2003 when her family opened the doors for the first time. She takes pride in the family business fully dedicating her energy and enthusiasm to growing the salon to its’ full potential. Amanda continues her education yearly, seeking out training from some of the best in the business. She fine tunes her skills in Hair Color at the Schwarzkopf Academy and in Hair Cutting at TIGI Advanced Hairdressing Academy, both in New York City. Amanda specializes in Bridal and Special Occassion Styling. Her creative vision for Upstyling makes her work highly sought after.
Janice
Janice is a graduate of Wilford Academy and thereafter she stayed abreast of her trade with training classes in Haircutting, Coloring, and Styling. She boasts 20 years experience in the industry and a clear passion for her craft. The energy and creativity that she exudes contributes to the already booming team. Janice is a highly sought after stylist, therefore we do reccommend scheduling your appointments in advance.
Petrina
Petrina started taking a liking to Hairdressing from a very young age, spending time around her father’s Salon. She later decided to go for formal training at McKee Vocational School, where she became licensed in 1990. Over the years, Petrina has attended many Hair-color, Highlighting, and Formal Styling shows.
She attended the Graham Webb Academy of Hair in Washington where she received an Advanced Cutting certificate. She is certified in Keratin Smoothing Treatments and also has an affinity for Men’s hair cutting. Petrina says, “My love for being a hairdresser was from a little girl, I strive to make people happy; feel and look beautiful.”
Senior Stylists
Rosy
A native of Sicily, Italy, Rosy attended Cosmetology school in 2010, and soon thereafter started working in a salon. She moved to New York where she attended The Career School of NY in 2018. While in New York, she worked at Dry Bar learning the Art of Blow Dry Styling. Now as part of the Bamboo Salon team, she specializes in Hair Extensions (Volume Wefts, i-Tips and Tape-ins), Hair Color, and Keratin/Keratherapy Smoothing Treatments. She is passionate about hair and really takes her time with each client, making every service personalized and unique!
Valentina
Bamboo Salon is happy to welcome seasoned Stylist Valentina to their Team! Valentina is a Professional Hairstylist specializing in Haircuts, Haircolor, Hair Extensions, Bridal and Formal Hairstyling. She has been in the Beauty Industry as a licensed Cosmetologist since 2013. Valentina says, "I found my creative passion in styling hair for Weddings." She enjoys keeping up with trends in Haircolor such as Balayage, Babylights, and Color Melts.
Melissa
Melissa has always had a passion for hair. Her goal is to make sure all of her guests leave feeling beautiful. She enjoys taking classes to further develop her skill set and stay abreast of the latest trends. She specializes in lived in Hair Color, Balayage and Keratherapy. Melissa is a certified BELLAMI Professional Hair Extension Artist.
Jennie
Jennie is a Hairstylist with 13 years experience who specializes in Blondes, Balayage, and Corrective Coloring. She also offers Haircuts, Smoothing Treatments, and Hair Extensions services. Jennie is a talented artist and we are thrilled to have her join our Team!
Stylists
Emmi
Emmi has had such a passion for hair since a young age. She specializes in Blondes, yet provides many other services such as extensions, color, cuts, etc. She is always eager to learn the newest trends, and new techniques! She loves to make you as comfortable as she can in her chair during your service so that you can appreciate your service here at Bamboo.
Natasha
Natasha is a new Stylist at Bamboo Salon. She says, "I always wanted to be a hairdresser, it has been my dream for such a long time." Natasha loves learning the latest trends so she can share them with her clients. She always wants her guests to love their hair when she is finished. Her personality is infectious and Natasha is surely a people person. "I love what I do, it’s fun for me!"
Emily
Emily is a graduate of Beauty Culture Academy, who joined the bamboo styling team in 2022. Emily enjoys keeping up with the latest trends and working with you to achieve your dream hair. She is available for all Color services, Haircuts, Blowouts, Formal Styling, and Makeup.
